Department’s "Ranvimana" housing program ("A Comfortable Home An Empowered Family")

A new house, constructed under the Samurdhi Development Department’s "Ranvimana" housing program ("A Comfortable Home An Empowered Family") for a homeless family benefiting from the "Aswesuma" scheme, was declared open today (August 6, 2026). Located in the Palanwatta West Grama Niladhari Division within the Kesbewa Divisional Secretariat Division of the Colombo District, the house was opened by Dr. Upali Pannila, Minister of Rural Development, Social Security, and Community Empowerment
