The Samurdhi Act

The Samurdhi Act was established by the Divi Neguma Act No. 01 of 2013 to create an institutional framework for poverty eradication and social empowerment in Sri Lanka. This act provides the legal foundation for the Department of Samurdhi Development's mission to promote livelihood and economic development activities centered on individuals, families, groups, and communities.
